The new iPad again shows how revolutionary and innovative Apple’s products are, and how incredibly amazing! I was impressed by Steve Jobs’ presentation on iPad and its features. Talk about passion, he certainly is an embodiment of pure faith in the iPad.

It’s no wonder that once you’re a Mac user, you’re always a Mac user. Apple lovers will rave about the slim and sophisticated design of the iPad, perfectly world-class and in control, the all in one browsing device that makes miracles in your hands.

Did I mention how wonder it is to view photos and watch videos on the iPad?

The world turns crazy all over again.

The secret? Technology + Liberal Arts = creative, fun and easy to use POWERFUL products

Watch how the iPad works here.

“Our most advanced technology in a magical & revolutionary device at an unbelievable price.”

In a previous post I was reviewing two lingerie giants La Senza and Victoria’s Secret (both Western brands) when a reader (thanks, robin!) commented about Ravijour! It was supposedly Asia’s (specifically, Japan’s) equivalent of VS.

Like, WOW?!!!

It’s just too bad that I can’t read Japanese because even though some of the site navigations are in English, most of the intellectual content are in Japanese, which is totally expected but disappointing all the same because an international audience will be marginalized?

Their newest spring collection!

They’re also featured in magazines like Vivi, CanCam, Cutie, Glitter etc!

The website really reminds me of Victoria’s Secret (baby pink) theme and the models are really drop dead gorgeous too! Asia’s Angels? Yeah, in every sense of the word! :)

In any case, even though the site mainly operates in Japanese, it’s a good online platform to browse sexy lingerie and sleepwear, take note of trends and needless to say, to oogle at the models!

Start browsing at their Official Web Store!

I finally decided to take a break from female fashion and begin on a refreshing point of view – male fashion! Local guys really need to put in more effort in dressing up and looking presentable. That’s why I’ve always fancied how homosexual males and metrosexuals carry themselves – it’s really cool, inspiring and revitalizing – and it’s always these people who seriously know how to dress because they know fashion and are not shy about strutting their stuff.

It came as a surprise to me how my brother notices the way I look at things.

You have an eye for everything beautiful, and you even look at girls like you’re in love with them!” OK, that’s not EXACTLY how he put it yeah, but you get the idea I hope.

And I was just jesting about how often Fann Wong is appearing on television these days – for the CNY products like birds’ nest and abalone. She’s seriously looking younger and younger while getting older and older. How unfair. Don’t kill me yet, but I really think she’s beautiful.

I’ve always thought that if I ever go for cosmetic surgery in future, I’ll NEVER admit to it because I don’t want to come across as fake and insecure. But my mentally has slowly begun to change, and I’m more certain now that if I choose to eventually go for it, I will admit it openly – even blog about it and tell my readers how it went, which surgeon/procedure is good etc. I mean, lying will only create more lies – worst still, the truth will be out sooner or later. Anyway if you have been following the daily news, more and more people are going for cosmetic surgery and enhancements – it’s becoming like makeup. Not sure if that’s good news, but it’s a fact and growing phenomenon in society we have began to slowly accept. And I’m honestly convinced at the way Xiaxue justifies makeup!

Before I ramble too much, here’s what you ought to be looking at, guys!

Some local blogshop recommendations:

The Black Dog Store

a pretty cool website which stocks on male apparel and accessories (style: smart casual chic)

GetupMerch

Asia’s loudest band t-shirt store run by band geeks that love music, merch, gigs, fanzines and discovering bands from all over the world.

GTCY BLOGSHOP

my favourite of the pick, GTCY is comparable to any female blogshop in terms of its website, apparel range and price!

Nuffnang, Baby!

It gets a little scary and worrying when I spend so much time at work and take my work so seriously. It feels so separate from school, so different from the other 5 semesters I’ve spent on campus. Work and school life are really different from each other, but you know what? I love to work! :)

Nuffnang has a really healthy culture – clean, politics-free, honest, open, communicative and interactive. Everyone treats the office like home and even though it’s only the beginning of my 4th week, I can understand why already. Work is so enjoyable and comfortable, and it’s so easy to take pride in each and every one’s individual work. I get to be in charge and when I see results, I feel totally belonged to the project, and it only keeps me going further, and more motivated than ever before. When Nuffnang’s website says that the work culture is “unconventional but fun”, it really means what it stated. At first I couldn’t really get used to it all, being more used to the formal, corporate ways of bigger organizations – but now, I’m seriously enjoying being who I really am at work. Truthfully :)

So I can go on and on, but let me just zoom the topic on to my new colleagues, Dana and Melody! Popular fashion bloggers, the Monoxious girls, dropped by last Friday..and as I am typing this now, guess who appeared in the office???

Xiaxue herself! :)

Putting a nice picture of her here in case she reads my blog, hohoho!

First time I’m seeing her in person! Nuffies call her Wendy, and they were discussing about her wedding in March…

Oh well. Was I “starstruck”, like how Esther put it? I think it’s more curiosity than anything else :P Very soon though the internal excitement died down because everyone’s so used to seeing her around already. Don’t want to look so “sua gu” right??? But she’s Singapore’s top blogger and she wants to know who’s number 2! HAHAHA. I found that quite amusing!

Peek-a-boo!

With Esther, Melody and Dana :)

Group photo! (they were playing band hero!)

Nuffies picture after steamboat dinner at Chong Qing – “guest visitor” Timothy Tiah! Very nice guy :)

(The Magic of Chong Qing Hotpot – according to Ming, “best steamboat restaurant ever!”)

A movie I’m really interested to watch.

Synopsis:
In the city that never sleeps, love is always on the mind. Those passions come to life in a collaboration of storytelling from some of today’s most imaginative filmmakers and featuring an all-star cast. Together they create a kaleidoscope of the spontaneous, surprising, electrifying human connections that pump the city’s heartbeat. Sexy, funny, haunting and revealing encounters unfold beneath the Manhattan skyline. From Tribeca to Central Park to Brooklyn the story weaves a tale of love as diverse as the very fabric of New York itself.

Why do people fall in love?

Aren’t they afraid to discover the ugly truth that will inevitably emerge after some time?

How does one know what is true love?

How does one realize what’s important and what’s not?

How do I learn to forget the “flaws” and focus on the person’s strengths?

If I only keep seeing the person’s faults and perceived weaknesses, does that mean that I no longer love the person?

Is this all supposed to be learnt “naturally”?

Is it about age, maturity level or just a matter of time?

Why does the “love element” come and fade?

Are my feelings superficial?

Why do I want to marry him and yet I can change my mind almost immediately?

Is it him or is it me?

Does it have to be both of us?

Does love always mean making sacrifices?

What on earth is love?

This certainly isn’t! Hollywood’s golden couple calls it quits after raising 6 children together, while being unmarried and totally wanting to be separated. Their $330 million fortune is set to split as well.

Pretty sad for them.

It’s all up to circumstances, but if I were Aniston, I probably wouldn’t be in a hurry to take Pitt back, if at all.

Should I Still Believe?

There is a reason why it’s still complicated.

Bright tights are absolutely in vogue now! No worries about a boring outfit! Simply dress your pins in rainbow colours like these celebrities!

Mischa Barton & Paloma Faith

Always-original Fearne Cotton who arrived at the Brit Awards nominations party wearing a pair of opaques with the cheeky slogan ‘Wanna Party’ emblazoned on the back.

It was the Autumn/Winter ‘09 catwalks that really kick-started the craze for bold fashion hosiery, from purples at PPQ (PPQ duo Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker) to blues at Anna Sui, proving that color blocking legwear is the best way to beat the winter chill.

And judging from the vivid hued tights that popped up in Versace and Balenciaga’s colourful Pre-Fall collections, including intense yellows and reds, the trend is set to stay!

So how to pull off this tricky trend without looking like Robin Hood? Take a tip from the likes of Leigh Lezark and Kristen Wiig who enriched their partywear by accenting an LBD with bold brights. And showing us all how to add some interest with motifs, it’s Agyness Deyn literally donning the House of Holland with her cottage-patterned sheers also from Henry’s Pretty Polly collection. Top marks for allowing their legs to do all the talking by wearing the shocking stockings with all-black outfits! Are YOU up for daring hosiery?

Bobbi Brown’s New Campaign: Pretty Powerful!

Bobbi Brown’s makeup collections are famously known for their natural yet fantastic coverage, touch, colours and quality. I simply fell in love with their Creamy Concealer ages ago, as well as their lip and eye palettes!

Check out her latest campaign – a PRETTY POWERFUL one – she’s taken women she knows, like her children’s teachers, and used her make-up range to demonstrate how much make-up can do for self-confidence and how a small make-up addition, like a pink lip, can totally transform a face. Think Dove’s Real Women campaign about make-up.

Looking forward to watch The Blind Side! Sandra Bullock’s my absolute favourite actress! :)

And recently she was caught in the limelight very frequently too, looking consistently stylish on the red carpet. Other winners include:

Outfit of the Day!

After school yesterday was a mad rush to get to Green Poppies’s studio for my first attempt at modeling for a blogshop! Eric was really nice to fetch me from school to my home (to get the stuff like shoes and makeup) and to Veerasamy Road for the shoot. I was really excited and anticipating to see Hazel, the owner of Green Poppies!

When I reached there Hazel and Yati, our friendly and most loved photographer, were already waiting for me! So I quickly got down to business and the shoot soon began. But I must say that I really love the cozy studio with just everything we need – the clothes racks that also display shoes and bags and accessories, a changing room, a storeroom and Hazel’s office. They even have a comprehensive pantry and a nice toilet! Really admire Hazel for handling EVERYTHING by herself. I can’t wait to start my own business too!

It was about a 4 hour shoot of non-stop changing and shooting, I think I had managed 30 outfits or so that evening? But heck, it was soooo freaking fun stepping out of the room each time with a different outfit! (I had 3 pairs of shoes to alternate between and I adjusted my hair accordingly too) Green Poppies has amazing clothes that I just wanna buy buy buy! And their quality is really really good – shoes and bags are imported from Korea, mostly, and their clothes too as well as Hong Kong & Taiwan. One thing I really regret not bringing is my camera! Alas! No photographs with the 2 babes and even myself wearing the apparel because my camera phone sucks! Ewww :(

Well, I’ll be posting pictures as soon as they are uploaded onto their site by the end of the next week! Hope I had done a decent job ‘cos I really love working with GP and would like to continue being their model :)

And Check this Out!

Lovely Diamante Heart Ear Studs!

Gorgeous laptop bag!!!! Pretty to the max! and it's PINK!!!

Their bestseller! Slightly pricey @ $ 70 but completely sold out! Quality is ♥!!!

Milita Blazer – I was particularly happy to model this jacket because it’s SO CHIO!! Hazel’s friend dropped by during the shoot and couldn’t resist getting it for herself!

Do log in to Green Poppies now and START SHOPPING! :)
