I’m very honoured and pleased to receive an email from a reader “Chris”, by way of a follow up from a previous post The Biggest Loser. He runs the web’s largest workout music database and has put together a list of the current top 10 songs for working out, based on user feedback, and I thought “Wow, what an interesting idea? I wouldn’t mind chalking down these songs and information to give myself and readers that extra push to working out those flabby areas!” Trust me I haven’t exercised in awhile and I think my arms and tummy and thighs are paying for it. Urgh! But I must say R&B always gets me going, whether it’s executing those dance moves on the floor or running that extra mile.

So, I’m very excited to be writing about this – are you ready??!

The Top 10 Workout Songs For Winter 2012

San Francisco, CA – Jan 11, 2012 – Traditionally, winter is the time of year when folks find it hardest to get out and exercise.  In the hopes of keeping folks motivated, readers from Run Hundred–the web’s most heavily-trafficked site for workout music–were  polled regarding their favorite, current workout songs.  The resulting top 10 list has a little of what you’d expect—and a little you might not.  Flo Rida, who’s no stranger to this list, shows up in two recent tracks.  Enrique Iglesias continues his transition from balladeer to club rocker.  And Kelly Clarkson, after faltering with the first single off her new album, bounced back ferociously with the second.

As for surprises, they’re mostly entries from folks relatively new on the dance scene.  Highlights include songs from Tim Berg (who remixed his own track under his Avicii moniker), Skrillex (whose collaboration with Kaskade is the first dubstep track ever the make the Top 10), and Wolfgang Gartner (who’s made the chart with a little help from the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am).

Donatella's latest Versace line for children stars Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia!

In case anyone had ever wondered if good looks were genetic, this picture is the answer: yes and YES! Here’s a sneaky peek from the first ever ad campaign for Young Versace, a brand new children’s line from the Italian powerhouse, just for kids aged 0-12.

And who better to model the collection than the daughter of Gianni Versace’s muse and supermodel, Cindy Crawford? Crawford’s ten-year-old daughter Kaia models the collection for Spring/Summer 2012, which was shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The collection is a mix of typically Versace patterns and the Medusa head logo, mixed with more colourful, punky elements.

The supermodel mother sounded super-proud when asked about Kaia’s involvement with the House of Versace. ‘I’m so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign,’ Cindy said. ‘I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace. Being on-set with my daughter watching her in front of the camera was a fantastic experience. I am so proud of her.’ Awww….

And it seems Mini-Crawford has a fan in Donatella Versace too. ‘Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift,’ the designer said. ‘The camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on-set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps!’

With Kaia already such a natural in front of the camera so young,  great things from her is definitely expected in the future. Perhaps she’ll walk for the Versace runway show for Spring/Summer 2020? Let’s wait with baited breath. What a lucky girl she is to have a pro catwalker as a mum to show her the ropes!
