Fashion Update: Versace for H&M!

There’s a rumour going around that Donatella’s outfit for her bow at the end of her menswear show is a heavy hint as to what we can expect from the H&M collection [above centre].

A certain Swedish fast fashion chain AND a mega-tastic Italian brand – VERSACE FOR H&M.

After the absolute ball of fashion hysteria generated in the lead up to the big queue day when Alber Elbaz’s Lanvin bits for the store hit the shops last year, we’re expecting no less of a frenzy for THIS collab.

As well as what we assume will be lots of sexy tight dresses and feminine tailoring for the girls, Donatella and her team are very thoughtfully going to  be providing menswear AND homewear too. Hints and tips have been provided in the following form;

‘For H&M, Donatella Versace has looked back to the archives to reinterpret some classic Versace designs. The womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses that fit right in with the spirit of the season, featuring studded leather and colourful prints, with accessories including high heels and costume jewellery. The men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo, as well as belts and jewellery for men too. For the first time in a designer collaboration at H&M the collection will consist of some homeware pieces, including cushions and a bedspread.’
